Terms & Conditions

Bookings
A provisional booking can be made for any time or date (subject to availability), but can only be secured upon receipt of a session fee. We will hold provisional bookings for a period of 7 days before re-releasing the date.

 

Payments
Payments can be made by bank transfer or cheque.  (Payable to Paul Wilcock). Bank transfer details will be emailed to you during your initial consultation.

Final Balance (This applies to Event photography only)
The final balance is payable 14 days prior to the event date.

 

Wall Art, Photobooks and other products
All products are payable at the time of ordering.

 

Delivery
We do not use a delivery service as standard due to the breakages that arise through couriers. However, Paul Wilcock will work with clients to ensure all products are delivered promptly and in good condition. At the handover, clients will have the opportunity to inspect the goods.

 

Refund/Return Policy
All our work is checked personally by clients at the time of collection/handover, but should there any problems then we operate a 14-day money-back guarantee on Photobooks and wall art.

 

Cancellations before the portrait session
The session fees are not refundable. Should a client need to cancel a session, then it is their sole responsibility to do so in writing.  The client must also ensure that this instruction has been received by Paul’s Portraits. Paul’s Portraits will personally contact you to discuss the cancellation with a view of ascertaining if the session can be re-scheduled. Any cancellation or rescheduling will be confirmed in writing and communicated to the client using the email address provided by them.  

 

Force Majeure
In the unlikely event of a total photographic failure, injury or sickness beyond our control, our liability shall be limited to a full refund of monies paid. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

Copyright, Designs & Patents Act 1988
The 1988 copyright act assigns full copyright to Paul Wilcock of Paul’s Portraits. Reproduction or copying of any images or digital files or other published material, either in whole or in part, by any persons or means without a necessary licence to do so, is strictly prohibited under the terms of the act. Third-party licences can be obtained from the copyright owner. Paul’s Portraits retains the right to display material in any media (printed press, television, digital, internet and marketing strategies) for the promotion of Paul’s Portraits.

 

Creative Licence
Paul’s Portraits shall be granted free creative licence in relation to locations, processes used and judgement on photographic style and the number of photographs taken. Due to changes in the weather, available lighting conditions, availability and willingness of subjects, we will always endeavour to honour requested photographs, but we do not guarantee to shoot any specific picture nor use any specific background, location or group arrangement.

 

Agreement
You are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms upon either / or;

  1. payment of a session fee/deposit, completion of a booking form,

  2. commencement of work or

  3. any use made of any images in whole or in part.
